Electronics Design Group Wins 2017 Mark of Excellence AwardOct 12, 2018

PISCATAWAY, NJ & LAS VEGAS — Electronics Design Group, Inc., a pioneer in residential and business electronics technology, today announced that the company’s 30 Park Place project received the Innovation Award at the 2017 TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards. Presented by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the award was accepted at a reception at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, during CES 2017.

The TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards recognizes the best in custom integration and installed technology. Each year, manufacturers, distributors, and systems integrators compete in more than 30 award categories for this coveted honor. This year, over 150 entries were judged by an independent panel of industry experts. Winners were announced at the awards reception on-site at CES.

The Innovation Award highlights one project where the integrator went above and beyond in the areas of creativity and innovative use of technology in order to achieve a specific application. At 30 Park Place, EDG created a unique iPad interface that allows the sales team at to deliver an up-close tour of the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown. EDG’s interface makes it easy to call up anything a prospective buyer would want to see, from a live preview of a floor layout to surrounding views of the Midtown skyline and New York Harbor. It can even email brochures to potential customers.

Other highlights include:

  • Four Seasons-branded iPad interface for the agents, with simple and elegant customization.

  • Preset show scripts defined for each area that can be accessed by the agent at the touch of a button.

  • Preset control for lighting, shades, music, and more, in order to create the perfect buying experience.

  • Ability to dynamically select any content from any room.

  • Model and penthouse home automation to highlight technology options available to prospective clients.

  • Use of LED illumination to demonstrate sold, under contract, and available units, as well as to highlight specific floors and features.

"EDG made it so easy for us to show a potential buyer everything they need to see about a unit,"

- said an anonymous source on the project.

"Any person on the sales team can walk up to an iPad and show a potential buyer anything they want to see about a specific unit—even the view!"

This is the 11th time that EDG has received a Mark of Excellence Award from the CTA. The company has previously received awards for Best Theater of the Year, Home Theater/Media Room Project of the Year, Ultimate Home of the Year, Luxury Home of the Year, and more.
