Night Sky
Night Sky was a project that involved the construction of an award winning home theater. Electronics Design Group worked closely with the client to deliver a cinema that was perfectly suited to accommodate both family and friends who wish to watch a movie together under a ceiling that mimics the appearance of a starry night sky.
The theater itself guarantees a luxurious viewing experience with a Stewart Filmscreen CineCurve multi-aspect ratio screen that spans 11’ wide when watching films in widescreen cinema format, and 8’ wide when viewing sports or TV programming in 16:9. Sony’s 4K Ultra HD VPL-VW600ES video projector was installed to produce a bright and vivid high resolution image, with four times the detail of Full HD for a true cinematic experience. With a picture that crisp, guests are sure to stare in awe at whatever they watch. The theater was designed to seat 10 people comfortably.
The Dolby ATMOS 7.1.2 system transforms the room with sound from all directions, fully captivating the listener with clarity, details, power and depth. The Totem Tribe V loudspeakers and corresponding Totem Subwoofers and Surround channels moves the sound around the listeners in a three-dimensional space, so you feel like you’re inside the action.
On top of the theater’s impressive audio and video equipment, the room was given Lutron lighting and temperature controls connected with a Control4 C4-HC250 controller. With a convenient handheld remote control, the clients were able to adjust the room’s ambiance to just the way they want it.
