Elegance at Twilight
This home was designed by architect, Hiland Hall Turner, and built as a model by a premiere NJ builder, Roger Polo of Polo Master Builders, to showcase the builder’s quality and expertise; its style, elegance, and overall build quality have exceeded all expectations. The 10,000 square foot home, nestled in the hills of Morris County upon sprawling wooded grounds, has eighteen spacious rooms on four levels. The walkout basement leads to dramatic gardens, a spa, and a magnificent pool area, all designed and built by award winning landscape architecture firm, Cross River Design. The home is an eden in paradise with full systems integration, as well as Lutron lighting and shades and a Crestron control system.
With 21 audio zones powered by 4 Crestron 16x60 amplifiers, music and entertainment are a highlight in this home. Integration is sourced from two Crestron C2N-FM Radio Tuners and two Crestron iPod Docks. Twenty seven pairs of speakers installed throughout the house offer the client an exceptional level of acoustics which was his primary request in regard to audio. Five subwoofers add to the level and quality of multi-room audio; locations throughout the home include the pub, family room, dedicated stealth screening room, and also the pool and spa areas.

The bar/pub, which has independent TV control of three flat panel TV’s, uses one of seven TPMC4X Isys Touch Panels that are installed throughout the home. Additionally, there are four Isys TPS-3100L Touch Panels in various locations throughout the home. The Touch Panels are also integrated to control the security cameras. A Crestron CNX-PVID 8x4 Matrix Switcher controls four High Definition sources and three camera sources which stream to eight rooms.
HVAC integration is also included in the control systems of this home with additional comfort provided with integrated motorized blackout window treatments. Each of the four floors of this home is wired with light, shade, and A/V control to one of the eleven house Touch Panels. The theater has a hidden Stewart screen and retractable ceiling-mounted Sony HD projector. Control solutions continue to the outside of the property where the grill and outdoor fireplace are complimented by global outdoor lighting, full pool/spa control, and integrated outdoor audio.
The home is constructed of post and beam construction combined with stone, all of which was custom cut fit. The client had two main requests - fill each room with unbelievable sound, and use the larger rooms to house high-end bookshelf and floor-standing speakers. In many rooms, creative places to hide power amplifiers were a necessity. Ample space was set aside in the basement for a dedicated head-end and rack space, complete with superior ventilation and access to the multitude of control systems equipment.
