In addition to the numerous innovative and award-winning products, Savant provides an intelligent open-programmable control and media management software solution – RacePoint Blueprint™. Blueprint is a GUI–based design tool, that configures and controls any A/V component or sub–systems – without writing a single line of code. Savant Systems LLC was founded in 2005 by a core group of technology pioneers and business executives, bringing together hundreds of years of combined real-world success in applications such as programmable systems, digital signal processing, video processing, telephony, switching systems and home electronics integration.

Savant is driven by leadership, which previously forged new advancements in the Telecommunications Industry by introducing an open, programmable and standards-based technology enabling rapid deployment of new applications and features. Excel Switching, founded by the same leadership of Savant, quickly became the leading provider of open-programmable switches to some of the largest Telecom Service Providers around the world. Eighteen years later, Savant is applying similar principles of open and programmable systems to the Consumer & Commercial Electronics Industry, which drove Excel Switching to the forefront of Telecom.

With the technical background and vision poised to penetrate this market space, Savant comes backed with the industry knowledge and experience to enable a successful technology implementation. While preparing to enter into this industry with a new product family, it became imperative to first understand and relate to the companies driving its growth. Savant’s President, Jim Carroll, previously owned a successful high-end Residential Systems Integration company. Carroll’s company operated as the incubator for this next-generation technology, and allowed him to witness many of the challenges facing systems integrators and custom installers.

Combining this past and present experience with an understanding of the technology, Savant’s goal is to create a whole-new experience for the Consumer & Commercial Electronics Industry. Savant has emerged in this marketplace with a solution set that overcomes many of the difficulties plaguing custom installers and systems integrators.
