From the Corner Office
Sharing the Knowledge
Continuing Education is one the highest priorities for all of us at
EDG. We are constantly learning and attending seminars. We’ve
created formal in house training sessions for our technicians. On
a monthly basis they are being taught various new and exciting
technologies and installation practices. Our sales staff meets with
sales reps weekly to stay abreast of the latest products and technology. We attend Regional and National CEDIA seminars where our staff is tested, leading to various certifications within the industry.
Is this information overload? Absolutely not! In fact with the ever-changing technology we would be behind the curve if we weren't constantly learning.

SpeakerCraft Starlet Series
SpeakerCraft has created a line of in-wall speakers designed for
both home theater and critical listening applications.
The Starlet series was designed around a highly acclaimed speaker
configuration called Line Source. The Line Source design provides
exceptional imaging and accuracy especially for in-wall speakers.
At the heart of the system are multiple 61/2" woofers that run
from top to bottom on each model. The woofers are all horn
loaded to improve performance and are topped with a matched
ribbon tweeter. The ribbon tweeter produces an incredible off-axis
response. This wide sound pattern allows the speaker to sound
great wherever you are in the room. This also is a bonus for home
theater systems, where listening position is critical.
Incredibly, the entire assembly has its own retrofittable extruded aluminum enclosure.

EDG Gains International Exposure in European Magazine
London, England, April 22, 2004 - Contained within the pages of Home Cinema Choice's June edition is an exciting 4-page article titled, "An American Dream" featuring an awesome home theater and whole-house installation from Electronics Design Group, based out of Piscataway, New Jersey.
"Here, folk take their home cinema - or home theatre - seriously and none more so than the professional installers of EDG," writes Jim Hill, Deputy Editor of Home Cinema Choice Magazine, one of Europe's leading magazines aimed at consumers looking for in-depth reviews of the latest home cinema hardware and related technology.
The article is the culmination of months of hard work starting with Jim's visit to EDG's 10,000 sq ft facility in New Jersey, and a tour of the featured installation. "We were delighted to show Jim how far home electronic integration has come in American, and discuss the differences between US and London installations. The article really captured the essence of an EDG project," said Nick Lehotzky, Marketing Manager for EDG. "Home Cinema choice is the one of the leading technology magazines in the UK, and we're proud to have worked with them to provide their readers a glimpse into an American installation."

Welcome back to Custom Corner. With each issue we will examine an interesting application of engineered electronics integration with consideration towards aesthetics and design, while limiting any sacrifice to equipment performance.
This month we look at a formal family room that serves many purposes for a young family. At the center of the house, it acts as a comfortable sitting room for friends and family. But with the press of a single button, the room transforms into a high-energy, high-performance media room with multiple displays.
As part of a complete renovation for a late 19th-century home, the framework for this room was askew due to time
