GROWING
TO SERVE YOU BETTER!
We've been under construction
at EDG for almost a year now, with the completion of our new facility in a
few weeks. We now have 11,000 sq. ft., doubling from our previous 5,500 sq
ft.
Our journey on this new
addition began in September of 2002, when we acquired the space adjacent to
ours. With several months of architectural and interior design planning, plus
a not so cooperative building department, we officially began construction
in January of this year.
We've captured some work in
progress photos and the floor plan at the New
EDG.

Fujitsu 55" Plasmavision Slimscreen (P55XHA)
Expanding the conventional 'ALIS' technology to larger size PDPs, FHP developed 'e-ALIS technology'. In common with ALIS, 'e-ALIS' adopts a common electrode on the front glass panel, while it adopts a grid cell structure on the back glass panel. Only half the electrodes are required compared with other XGA panels. By adopting the original driving method to this panel structure, FHP realises a progressive display and also achieves high brightness of 1000cd/m2.

The Ultimate Media Room!
Dancing, Karaoke, Games, Cocktails, Movies. This room has it all. From the parquet dance floor and karaoke system to a regulation pool, air hockey and foosball table, to a fully stocked bar with top shelf spirits and plenty of seating to a big screen with big audio.
This media area is equipped with three monitors. Two smaller 32" models flank an 8-foot wide 16:9 Stewart Luxas wall mount. Motorized curtains were specified to add some color and drama to the cabinet wall, but we found another purpose, side masking. Easily controlled with one button using the AMX Touchpanel the client can achieve a 4:3 version by adjusting the curtain to different limits.

FAQ
Q. Does EDG provide floor plan design services?
A.
Yes. Electronics Design can provide CAD documentation for a rooms specifications.
Q. Can a lighting control system provide enhanced security for my home?
A.
Enhanced security is provided in several ways. A lighting control system that has Astronomic and hourly timers built into the system will provide a lived in look. The exterior lighting will always be on the proper setting with respect to the level of darkness. The exterior of a home needs a greater light level at sunset till say 11:00 PM, and much less light at 3:00 AM to have the same perceived brightness. Provided that the exterior loads are dimmed, this level of operation can be achieved.
The system also has a vacation mode, that when activated will make the interior of the home look lived in. The system records the current status of the lights in the home and stores 1, 7 or 14 days of information. When activated the system starts to replay the previously recorded light settings. This provides a nearly impossible situation for a burglar to detect the vacant home on the street.
Q. My architect is specifying a control system for my new home. Why are the benefits of a control system?
A.
A control system will provide integration of various electronic and mechanical systems in any home. For example, from a video touchpanel you can access a lighting pathway from the kitchen to the master bedroom, adjust the music in any room, observe the safety of the kids at the pool, and control the tempature in any zone. You can even turn on your jacuzzi from the master bedroom as you change into your bathing suit.
