. . . Ways to Hide a Flat Panel TV
When it is in use, your plasma TV is one of the most beautiful and entertaining furnishings in your home. On the contrary, when it is turned off, it can become a lackluster wall hanging that quickly diminishes the aesthetic appeal of your previously captivating home entertainment center. Read below for 10 ways to conceal your plasma TV when it is not in use.
- In the ceiling - Imagine the convenience of pressing a button and having your plasma lowered out of your ceiling? Yes, this is possible with a motorized pop-up lift. Your plasma can reside in the hallows of your ceiling, only to be revealed at times of your choice...with a motorized folding lift that stores your plasma until you're ready to watch it and all you have to do is "flip the switch"!
- Beneath the floor - If the ceiling is not for you, why not try hiding your plasma in the floor? A motorized lift can work from either angle, and your plasma can amazingly pop up right out of your floor when you' ready to use it.
- Under the bed - A motorized lift can be used to lift, lower, and even rotate your plasma in the direction of your choice. This option is perfect for concealing it beneath your bed until you push the button...and voila! Your plasma appears and is ready for viewing!
- Inside a cabinet - There are many options within this category to conceal your plasma. Similar to a piece of furniture, a cabinet with a built-in motorized lift inside can house your plasma, and with the press of a button, your plasma can rise out of the cabinet for viewing.
- Motorized Tapestries - A little old, a little new. Tapestries are not only decorative, they can hide and protect your flat screen TV while preserving the room's decor.
- The drop-down or pop down lift is essentially the opposite of the pop-up. The mechanism is concealed either in the ceiling or a cabinet soffit.
- The folding ceiling lift requires minimal depth in the ceiling (about 6-8" for a 42" Plasma). The TV literally folds down from the ceiling when being used.
- The Motorized Art Frame is a ‘stationary’ solution to concealing the plasma display. When the TV is off, all that is seen is a framed piece of art.
- The Media Mirror ™ is a new product developed and patented by Media Décor, LLC. in simple terms, it is a mirror when the TV is turned off and a TV when the TV is turned on.
- Keep it in the Box! - Of course if you really want to hide your plasma, leave it in the box!
