ELECTRONIC HOUSE MAGAZINE AWARDS “BEST FAMILY/MEDIA ROOM” SILVER LEVEL TO ELECTRONICS DESIGN GROUP
NJ Systems Integrator recognized at Electronic House Expo Spring 2007 in Orlando, Florida
Piscataway , NJ–March 8, 2007–
Electronics Design Group, an industry leader in the field of systems integration, recently won the “Best Family/Media Room” silver award for their Gentleman’s Lounge project at the second annual Home of the Year awards at the Electronic House Expo in Orlando, Florida.
Electronic House magazine’s “Home of the Year” awards recognizes the far reaching potential for incorporating audio, video, whole-home automation, lighting control and more into today’s electronic house. There were over 300 entries from 107 custom home dealers and installers for this competition.
“The ‘Gentleman’s Lounge’ is a high performance room, without seeing any electronics – everything is totally hidden,” stated Nick Lehotzky, Marketing Manager for EDG. “Winning this award is really awesome. Tight tolerances and attention to detail led to intense coordination with the interior designer and builder. Without their tremendous effort this would not be possible.”
The warm earth tones and attention to architectural detail define this Gentleman’s Lounge as an inviting space to relax. But at the touch of a button this room transforms from state-of-relaxation to state-of-the-art. This total hidden technology room features a 92” drop down screen hidden in a soffit, a projector hidden behind a motorized wood panel projector door, a 42” plasma hidden behind motorized plasma art, motorizes shades, and faux painted ceiling mounted speakers. Operation is simple with a Crestron remote. There was little room for error making coordination with other trades essential and complex.
