ELECTRONICS DESIGN GROUP RECEIVES 2004 DELAER OF
THE YEAR AWARD AT THE 2004 CEDIA EXPO
Piscataway , NJ–December 16, 2004–
In demonstration of its commitment to serving the community, Electronics Design Group, Inc. and its employees have donated a large amount of gifts to the Adopt-A-Family Campaign for Magic 98.3 FM WMGQ benefiting Amandala's Crossing, a local shelter, and 1450 AM WCTC benefiting Ozanam, also a local shelter.
For 10 years EDG has participated in the Adopt-A-Family program, but never before has so much money been raised to purchase so many necessities. "To say that I was surprised by the amount donated would be an understatement. WMGQ & WCTC do a fantastic job organizing this event," said Nick Lehotzky, EDG's Marketing Manager. "I would especially like to thank Tania Bobbi, Ida Collado, and Angie Collado for their time and effort. We hope this makes a difference to those in need at this very special time of year."
Items donated included; blankets, towels, bed-in-a-bag, blenders, toaster ovens, clock radios, camera, batteries, slippers, TV/VCR combination, Barbie dolls, boys and girls bike, car seats, remote control cars, X-box, and various children's toys.
"WMGQ and WCTC are ecstatic with the amount of support shown by local companies. This year was truly an outstanding turnout. This year we had to make TWO deliveries in a much bigger truck. ," said Frank Calderaro, Station Manager. "Electronics Design Group was one of many companies that helped to make this event a success. To be able to help brighten the holidays for so many women and children echo's the true spirit of the season."
For over 10 years WMGQ and WCTC have been running this event. The shelters respond to the needs of women and children. They offer a continuum of care that focuses on the value of family connections and community integration. This allows the individual to develop while emphasizing the emotional and spiritual enrichment of the family.
