EDG Hosts an En-Lightening Event for the Central NJ AIA
North Brunswick, NJ – November 11, 2003–
The NJ Agricultural Museum, in North Brunswick, NJ, was the site of Central NJ AIA’s monthly dinner meeting, where EDG hosted an hour long presentation titled, “Introduction to Residential Lighting Controls.” The 1 Learning Unit (LU) seminar covered the following topics; Why You Should Dim, Specifying a Lighting Control System, Turning a Space Into a System, Documenting the System, Using Natural Light as a System, and Managing the Process.
“The response to the seminar was tremendous. The members of the Central NJ AIA really seemed to grasp the concepts and understand how lighting control enhances their designs. We were delighted to be asked to speak at this months event.” said Nick Lehotzky, EDG’s Marketing Manager.
In front of nearly 30 licensed architects, Dave Randolph, EDG’s Director of Critical Systems, led the informative seminar. "We have an interesting approach to lighting controls and how they are applied to the residential market. I think our presentation was effective. They showed a lot of enthusiasm after the presentation. I am happy that we could offer this level of training to the AIA."
This was the first in a series of AIA events that EDG will be hosting. Monthly training seminars will be presented at EDG’s Piscataway facility. Topics to be cover will be lighting control, home theater design, and control systems. Contact Nick at 732-650-9800 ext 116 for further information on upcoming AIA training events.
