This is the 30,000 overview of the project showing what services and subsystems are being connected. |
This sheet shows people space planning of a mechanical room or utility space. Here we show equipment racks, low voltage distribution panels, and all necessary clearances. We also show a small lighting control panel. We make sure to plan out the necessary space for servicing the racks and panels. |
This is a detail of the lighting control system. Here we layout the panels and high/low voltage wiring troughs. We also have detailed lighting notes that list guidelines for a proper installation. |
This is a detail sheet of a home’s low voltage distribution panels. Here we calculate how much wire will actually be landing in this space to make sure the trough work and panels have enough space to handle all of it. We need to pay attention to space planning so everything gets laid out properly and can be easily accessed for any service work. We have, in this example, all the speaker connections, cable TV, telephone, network, and thermostats located in these panels. |
This is the equipment rack elevation drawing. Here we detail all of the equipment necessary to run the house. You might say it’s the “engine under the hood.” We calculate the size and quantity of racks, electrical requirements, and how much heat they will generate (BTUs). The BTU-calculation for the entire room goes to the HVAC contractor so they can properly manage the room’s cooling requirement. The electrical load information goes to the electrical contractor so they can properly plan for the necessary circuitry. |
