Your Home Theater and Installation Experts

Home theater installations and home automation systems demand intensive design and planning. It goes far beyond simply choosing surround sound audio systems and home theater projectors to complement viewing environments. Provisions must also be made for integrated whole house audio systems and distributed video, automated lighting control and shading systems, proper climate control, and security. Rack designs and wiring diagrams must be meticulously engineered and developed, and it all must be implemented with an eye toward reduced energy consumption and ease of use via user-friendly touchscreen controllers or other remote controls. Coordinating a home theater construction project of this magnitude is generally far beyond the reach of most individuals—regardless of the amount of time spent researching.

Electronics Design Group (EDG), one of the northeast's premier consumer electronics and home automation specialists, provides homeowners and designers with answers to the logistical challenges of media room layout and systems. From preliminary home theater ideas and approved home theater design, to the final home theater installation, EDG manages and implements the entire project, resulting in total turnkey solutions for discriminating homeowners, corporations, and architects of ultra high-end home theater rooms and automation systems. But that's nothing new to the designers at EDG, who pride themselves in tweaking tried-and-true electronics to meet the unique needs of its clients. Here, audiophile-grade music quality came first...

Why You Need More Than One Subwoofer

By Brent Butterworth Everyone’s heard loud bass, but very few people have ever heard good bass. Good bass reproduction demands that every note in the bass range be reproduced evenly, with no notes emphasized. Fortunately, recent research has shown us for the first time a way to get even bass response in almost any room. The [...]

Surround Sound 101

By John Sciacca It’s not often that you get the chance to listen to a true luminary and industry pioneer speak. Even less often when you get the opportunity to do it for free. But that’s exactly what’s being offered by Audyssey in their next Webinar, where you can hear the true Jedi Master of surround [...]

Star Wars in Concert

by John Sciacca Like every male born around 1970, Star Wars was a cultural, life-shaping event for me. I can remember seeing the original, Episode IV, in a small theater in Carmel, California. Since Return of the Jedi came out in 1983, I have seen every Wars film in the theater on opening day. I’ve purchased [...]
